When and how did the two of you meet, and what is most memorable about your first meeting?

E + B: We were set up by a mutual friends in August of 2015; this friend was convinced we were “IT” for one another. Our first date was squeezed into a busy week. We decided we would meet for only one quick drink. One drink at one bar turned into a five hour long date. Our connection was instant, so comforting and unique.

On your day, what was your first thought when you woke up in the morning?

Elizabeth: IT’S HERE!!!! PINCH ME!!!!

Brandon: Overwhelming joy. We both slept unusually well the night before, so we woke up refreshed. We enjoyed coffee together in the morning before we split apart to meet our bridesmaids and groomsmen.

What was on your wedding day wish list?

E & B: Our wish list…so much! The most important wish was that our entire wedding would reflect the love we share every day with one another. The best part was that on March 9th, we would enjoy it all with our closest family and friends. We wished for warmth and intimacy and togetherness and FUN!

Which quality do you most admire about one another?

Elizabeth: Where to begin? I admire so much about his character: his warmth, genuineness, eagerness and curiosity about life, ambition, creativity, intuitiveness and devotion to those he loves. I admire how much perspective he brings and how he has provided me with a level of completeness I didn’t think was possible

Brandon: I admire her selflessness and desire to make everyone around her feel so loved and comfortable.

What did you base your choice of location on?

E & B: We always wanted a classic New York wedding! Because we both grew up locally and our love story has taken place in Manhattan, there was no better choice than The Pierre; it’s history and iconic timelessness helped to make the entire weekend truly feel like a fairytale.

What was running through your mind when you saw your bride for the first time?

Brandon: I think I blacked out. I was emotional and couldn’t wait for her to finish her walk down the aisle to come meet me under the chuppah.

What wedding planning decision was the easiest one to make? What was the most difficult?

Elizabeth: Our band! We always knew Marianne Bennet from Element Music would help to ensure our feet would be swollen for weeks. We wanted continuous, upbeat music. We totally achieved that with her and her entire band.

Brandon: Elizabeth’s wedding dress decision! Elizabeth had such a vision and she wanted her dress to fit in perfectly with the feeling one experiences at The Pierre. Elizabeth desperately wanted me to weigh in, but we all know that I couldn’t see the dress until the big reveal the day of the wedding! Monique helped to make all of her dreams come true.

What is the most valuable thing that you have learned from each other?

E & B: The power of friendship. We really consider ourselves each other’s best friend. And we both agree we would choose each other every single day forward.

Is there anything you would do differently?

E & B: Invest in a time machine and slow it all down!!!!
